Location:South Shore – East
Recommended for Massage: Yes
Pros: Unspoiled, quiet, good birding
Cons: Not always accessible, shallow with seagrass, no amenities
Rod Bay Beach is just east of Robin Bay, past the wind generators. Another unspoiled beach with a couple dirt access roads, chains and barriers now limit vehicle access to some of these spots to prevent driving on the beaches. However, there is space to park a vehicle or two just off the road and walk down. Entries can be shallow with seagrass and urchins, so use caution. No amenities. There is ample shade under several native trees as well as palms. This beach would be suitable for massage any time of day, though there may be accessibility issues if the access roads are chained.
